Gaining traction in the financial adviser market

We are delighted to announce the next New Entrant Network event, a panel discussion and Q&A exploring best practice in gaining the attention of advisers and receiving monies from their clients. It is also an opportunity for advisers to contribute to the debate as well as learning about some of the latest thinking and developments in the market.

Register here to attend the event on Wednesday 25 November 2020, 4:30pm.

Hear from a financial adviser, a Family Office, a custodian, a platform and an umbrella fund manager. Our guest speakers are:

  • Saftar Sarwar, Chief Investment Officer, Binary Capital
  • Ewoud Karelse, Tilney Financial Planning
  • Paul Richardson, Head of Sales, The Share Centre
  • Dan Rodwell, Managing Director, GrowthInvest
  • Boyd Carson, Managing Director, Sapphire Capital Partners

If you are involved in the EIS market in any way, it is not to be missed.

The New Entrant Network

The New Entrant Network was set up by Hardman & Co in 2018 as a network of trusted suppliers of professional services to help and support new entrant fund managers to the S/EIS market. There was a clear need for a central hub to provide introductions for aspiring and new S/EIS fund managers to professional service firms within the sector which could help and guide on them on their journey to success.

This was very well received, but over the past year the market has evolved rapidly. There are still a healthy number of new entrants coming to market, but while we know that to be a successful fund manager normally takes a number of years, it is now taking longer for some to gain traction in the market – particularly given the cautious approach to investing during the COVID-19 pandemic.

As a result of this we are now widening the scope of the network to embrace newer fund managers, including those founded within the past five years. We want to include firms that are on their way to success, and still could use the right guidance and advice, as well as very new entrants.

Members of the Network can offer newer fund managers all the diverse elements required to have a successful firm. For example:

  • Independent product reviews
  • Market research and marketing services
  • Fund management services
  • Distribution platforms
  • Custodian and administration services
  • Legal and regulatory services
  • Tax advice
  • Adviser marketing and promotion
  • Insurance for managers and investee companies

Register here to attend the event on Wednesday 25 November 2020, 4:30pm.
