Marcus Barnard is an analyst in the Financials team at Hardman & Co.
Marcus is a senior equity analyst with 27 years’ experience working in equity markets and focusing on financial stocks. He spent 17 years on the sell side as an equity research analyst covering the Insurance and Miscellaneous Financials sectors, at firms including Numis Securities, KBW, Oriel Securities, HSBC and Societe Generale. Prior to that he was a senior fund manager looking after equity income, general insurance and bond funds at Royal London Asset Management. He has worked as an IR and Strategy Consultant, advising an insurance company on the equity story for an IPO.
He joined Hardman & Co in May 2020. He has a First Class BSc (Hons) in Maths from Bristol University and is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries.
