Q&A on Arbuthnot Banking Group: Interim results: franchise growth for long-term value creation.
In this interview, Mark Thomas discusses ABG’s strong 1H’26 performance, with franchise growth accelerating across deposits, specialist lending and wealth management, helping it achieve its £10bn “Future State” client balance target two years early. While profits remained broadly stable at £11.0m, continued business growth and a higher-for-longer interest rate environment could provide upside to forecasts. ABG’s conservative lending approach and good security also continue to support asset quality.
The Seneca IHT Service – strategy, business relief and consistent performance. In this analyst Q&A, Dr Brian Moretta, Head of Tax Advantaged Research at Hardman & Co, meets with Larissa Adams to discuss the Seneca IHT Service. The conversation looks at the investment strategy behind the service, examining its secured lending approach, focus on capital preservation alongside consistent returns and the role these play in delivering a business relief solution for inheritance tax planning. Brian explains the thinking behind the approach and highlights the factors investors should consider when evaluating this type of investment.
