To help us, our guest is Simon Thorn from corporate finance house Acceleris. We discuss some of the options available to companies and what considerations they should think about when choosing an investor.

Simon has worked within Acceleris since its early days, for more than 15 years, starting as a graduate trainee and working his way up to Managing Director. He has been an active member of the EIS Association since its inception and has worked closely with the body in the North of England. He has advised on over 60 transactions for private and AIM-traded SMEs, and led fundraisings with both venture capital firms’ and high net worth investors’ involvement, in a wide variety of industry sectors and deal sizes. In 2015, he was awarded ‘Young Dealmaker of the Year’ at the Insider Dealmaker Awards and ‘Industry Rising Star’ at the EISA Awards.
