SIS Ventures (SISV), a subsidiary of Social Investment Scotland, is a manager that has been created specifically to be an impact investor. Profits still remain key, with SISV seeing impact and profitability as being symbiotic. Although it is not exclusively a Scottish investor, its strongest sourcing is from Scottish university spinouts and within the Scottish venture community.
The Impact First Fund is an alternative investment fund, which will provide a portfolio of investments in unquoted impact technology companies. The target return is an aggregate of 3x capital over 7-10 years. Returns will be focused on capital gains, and investors are unlikely to receive any dividends. The fund is evergreen.
